Swim lessons
Today Marcus started swim lessons and did really good! I was very impressed! At first he didn't want to go in because we weren't with him but he warmed up to Jenny really quick. He was even letting her dunk him under water. But, by the end of the lesson he was getting a little upset. Matt, Jillian and I stayed and watched during his lesson.

Shopping
Matt's going to kill for this be but this was so cute not to post...we were shopping at Target last night and we were over in the baby section and looking at clothes for Jillian and Matt made the comment he needed to start shopping for her (he is worse then me when it comes to buying clothes for the kids, I'll pick out 3 outfits and Matt will pick out 8! Not kidding!). Well he found a really cute dress and says...Oh this is "precious". A big guy like my hubby using the word "precious" was so cute and of course I teased him after he said it too :).

New City
Last night at dinner with our neighbors we found out that we will no longer be known as Queen Creek, we will now be San Tan Valley! We were never a city in the past but we were known as Queen Creek because that was the closest operating post office to us. But because it has grown so much they split us off and we are now San Tan Valley, interesting! And our zip code has changed again too. So our new address will be: San Tan Valley, AZ 85140

Yum!!!
The other night after dinner I decided to have some ice cream. Well Jillian thinks she needs to eat what we eat and basically right now is refusing to eat baby food. So after watching her look at me as I was eating my sundae cone, if that is what you call it, I decided I would share...

Well need I say more? She loved it! She would actually hold my hand so I couldn't take the ice cream away and would get mad when I wouldn't let her have it. Gotta love it!

Chuck & Roast
So, we bought a cow yesterday. We went in on the 2 cows with Bruce, Todd and the Gunnels. Our cow, which we are splitting with the Gunnels, Chuck is on the left and light brown, and Bruce and Todd's cow, Roast is on the right and is black. The cows are about 450 lbs each right now and we will raise them until May of 2010 which they will be 'processed' and we will get 800+ lbs of meat from each cow. We will get just over 400 lbs each family from the cows for our half and the meat will last us about a year and will average $1-2 a lb once we are done. It is exciting and a start to our year supply. Plus that will be around the time that Matt and I will both be unemployeed from ON so it will help out with our grocery bill. The kids were excited to see them yesterday and Madison got to name them with the help of Matt, Bruce and Todd. And Marcus liked to hear and see the cows. It will be a neat learning experience for us all.Monday, June 1, 2009
